Why I work only ~3 hours per day
“Tim, have you seriously been sitting here for 2 hours?” asked my brother as he walked into the living room. “Careful not to stare a hole in the wall.”
I lift my gaze.
“I’m contemplating important matters, David. You wouldn’t understand.”
“Pfft. Yeah right.”
Okay, I will admit … my current workday looks a bit … umm … how shall we call it?
Atypical.
In total, I “work” about 3 hours per day.
I write my daily email
Handle client work
Manage my Twitter profile
And I’m done.
This is NOT what I usually do. Normally, I work a lot more.
But lately…
I’ve been taking it slow.
Most of the day, I’m in the living room with a journal on my lap … thinking.
Between you and me…
I don’t have any desire to work hard at the moment.
Because working hard is like pressing the accelerator. It’s fantastic if you’re on track. But if you veer off even a little bit … you might speed down a cliff.
Instead, I’ve been analyzing my mental patterns.
And honestly … the progress I made mentally is insane.
Like many other people, I used to have an unforgiving inner critic.
A voice that would berate me into working harder, doing more, staying busy – anything to avoid the existential dread of stopping long enough to face myself.
And when I looked deeper, I realized…
I wasn’t building this business for myself … I was building for that inner “slavemaster.” I felt obligated to prove something.
But now?
That voice is gone.
Left is a sense of clarity.
And that clarity has led me to a decision:
I want to help others find alignment too.
I recently invested multiple thousands in my education. My skillset has leveled up. And now, I want to pass that knowledge on.
That’s why I re-launched my coaching program.
This is where I help copywriters and ghostwriters scale their brands to $3,000/mo in 90 days – without slaving away for more than 5 hours per day.
This week, I’m opening a few early-bird spots.

Reply with “early” and I’ll send you the details.
Either way … ask yourself one uncomfortable question:
Why are you building your business?
For you? For your loved ones? … Or are you doing it to impress others or prove something?
Because if you’re building from a place of fear, you will never feel free – no matter how much you make.
Talk soon,
Tim <3
