What would your dream business look like?

🎅

Wait, it’s Christmas again?!

Just 1 year ago on Christmas Eve, I was raving out about hitting 500 followers on Twitter. Crazy.

Anyways…

Now is the perfect time to reflect and set yourself up for an earth-shatteringly great 2025.

Here’s something to ponder about:

What does your
dream business look like?

Here’s my uncensored answer:

In 3-5 years, I want 100% of my income from info products.

No clients
No large team
No complex operations

Just writing. Selling. Building.

And lots of free time to do all the things I’ve always wanted to do (like run an Iron Man).

Because, let’s face it:

Client work is quite sucky.

It’s incredibly time-consuming and mind-draining.

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes it is fun – especially if you have amazing clients like I do.

But…

It’s just like a 9-5 job.

You’re still building someone else’s dream.

You’re still getting paid a fraction of the impact you have.

Except now, you don’t have the safety net a traditional job provides – you’re all on your own. You’re falling flat on your nose, getting bitterly rejected, and experiencing unbearable emotional pain.

It’s not as fun as people make it out to be.

Not many copywriters/freelancers admit this… but everyone knows (and feels) it deep down.

But I do think client work is necessary.

I view it as a “stepping stone” to build a track record, a set of skills, and experience that I can later package as an info product.

Here’s how I plan to do this:

  1. Work with plenty of DFY clients

  2. Take on a new cohort of coaching clients

  3. Package all this knowledge into a suite of evergreen info products

This is still quite a broad plan (as you can tell).

I’ll refine it over the next couple of days where I’m going to take my first REAL break (meaning: not a single second of writing) in over 1,5 years.

Man, I’m a fucking maniac.

But here’s why this is important to YOU:

I will share everything I learn on the journey of “firing my clients” and building an actual freedom business in this newsletter.

I will document everything so you can save yourself from all the embarrassing mistakes and faux pas I will likely make.

Hopefully, you’ll use that knowledge to get there faster.

If you want to follow along for the ride and “shortcut” your way to a freedom business…

All that’s left to say now?

I genuinely hope you have an amazing Christmas.

Take some time off to reflect, make plans, and simply enjoy time with your loved ones (even if you don’t celebrate Christmas).

No emails from me next week.

Merry Christmas,
