Are you a shark or a guppy?
Something I think about often:
In order to get extraordinary results, you have to do extraordinary things.
Aka. Do things that most people aren't.
If you want a life of freedom…
One where you can wake up whenever you want… not have to worry about showing up to the office on time… pay the bills for your family… and overall follow your passions & purpose…
The absolute WORST thing you could do is:
Do what the majority of people are doing.
Go to university. Get a job. Work your way up the career ladder. Invest in a 401k. Retire. Die.
You don't want this.
That's why you're working your own creator business day in and day out.
You're writing content… reaching out to prospects… reading & educating yourself… getting rejected but still digging in there…
All because you want a life of freedom.
You're special.
You're doing something that 99,9% of people aren't.
But here's the problem;
Even (more like especially) in business… there's competition. There are small fish and sharks.
The difference?
The sharks venture out into new territory.
They don't conform to “rules” and “standards” … they create their own.
I recently asked myself this question:
What are the stupid rules that most copywriters on X conform to?
Essentially:
What are the lies you've been told about signing clients and making money on X?
One of the things that came to mind?
“I have to rely on X or email to sign clients. It's too early for me to branch out onto other platforms.”
Well, I thought this was stupid.
So I had a think…
How can I leverage OTHER social media platforms to make money? (An opportunity that 90% of copywriters on X aren't using).
Because let's face it…
Competition on X – especially for ghost-/copywriters – is fierce AF.
There are TONS of them.
Your prospects get BOMBARDED with outreach messages every single day.
On a platform like Instagram?
Not so much.
(At least not copywriting related).
And so I opened my Instagram app (I hadn't opened it in almost 2 years) and searched for potential prospects.
And holy shit—
Instagram looks like a f*cking gold mine.
There are COUNTLESS coaches (my target audience) with HUGE followings but absolutely fucking dogshit copy/marketing.
I was flabbergasted.
It was almost like waking into a casino: Bright neon lights flashing: “Free money here! Free money there!”
For this reason, I think that Instagram is a hidden opportunity for ghost-/copywriters.
The best part?
It requires virtually zero extra effort.
Repurpose your best threads
Post some life snippets
Optimize your profile
And BAM!
You have yourself an asset that could make you $1000s.
Combine that with some outreach (which most of us have to do anyway) … and, well, gimme da moolahhh.
Maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe this is just shiny object syndrome kicking in.
But considering the fact that repurposing threads is the easiest thing in the world… I’m becoming quite bullish about IG.
Which is why I'm going to start posting there.
As a sort of experiment.
I’ll be testing new strategies, systems, and ideas over there.
And who knows…
Maybe this will make me (and therefore you) a pretty little penny. (Don't worry btw… X will still remain my home ground. Not much will change in there).
If you don't want to miss these exclusive insights and follow this experiment…
Drop me a follow on the IG ;)
