Quick & dirty copywriting hacks (sell high-ticket with a Google Doc)
Copywriting is easy
So I’ve just finished writing an offer document for my client.
Despite having a fucking blast…
I had the ingenious idea of breaking down some of my copywriting SAUCE for you!
These are the copy tips I used to sign $1000+ clients through a Google doc.
(Yes a fucking Google doc)
So you better listen up because this could make you TONS of money.
And prevent you from ruining your brand image with a bunch of shitty copy.
Let me give you the most potent copy tip first…
Offer first, copy second.
Most people have it the wrong way around.
I used to think writing copy was just using sleazy, slimy, and outright ridiculous phrases to convince someone to buy something.
“TakE Up oN tHis eXclUsivE oFfeR nOw!”
This is absolute bollocks!
Couldn’t be further from the truth.
Writing good copy is NOT primarily about placing the right words in the right order and using fantastical language to promote your product.
Writing good copy is all about laying out a logical argument for why someone WILL benefit from your offer.
You don’t need many persuasion tactics…
You need a rock-solid offer that will actually help people.
If you have that, writing copy is a walk in the park.
Why?
Because you just need to explain WHY your offer will work for your target customer!
Just use logic and common sense.
It’s that simple. (Cut the Crap!)
Another big mistake I see often is that “copywriters” go on HUGE tangents.
They just blabber on about what they’ve achieved.
Sure, a little social proof is powerful…
But only if you…
Tie everything back to the reader!
Everything you write about has to be relevant to your reader’s life.
You should NEVER go for longer than 4 lines talking about yourself or some other thing without addressing the reader in your copy.
Okay…
Those were probably the 2 most important tips I’ve got in store for you today.
But let me hit you with one more…
Writing good copy is like talking to a girl.
If you’re one of my guy homies who’s talked to girls in the past (I know you have because all my newsletter subs are Chads)...
You’ll know that girls like mystery.
You don’t always tell them where you’ll go for dinner tonight…
You take them there and surprise them.
“I’m so excited, where are you taking meeee??”
That’s the same feeling you want to give your target customer when they read your copy.
(Fuck me I can’t believe I’m giving out dating advice haha)
You don’t reveal the solution in your copy…
You tease at it.
You summon a burning desire to find out more.
All they can do to satisfy that desire is work with you.
There you go, ladies and gentlemen.
Some quick and dirty copy tips for you.
Talk soon,
Tim <3
P.S. It was wayyy too late when I wrote this email (got a little lost in writing the offer haha).
But still…
If you could take 20s to reply to this email and tell me if you liked it, that would mean the world to me.
