My FULL warm DM script
I'm currently chilling on the Baltic Sea in northeast Germany.
Because—you guessed it…

It’s windy. And I should probably trim my mustache again…
But look…
I still got a bizniz to run so I'm writing to you anyway.
So currently I’m experimenting a bit with warm outreach. (For the ghostwriting side of my biz).
And I’ve gotta say…
Outreach sucks.
You’re sending genuine messages to your leads … putting in REAL effort because you don't want to be just another spammer … doing it over and over again…
Just to be… ghosted. 👻
Over.
And over.
Aaaaaand over again.
BUT (this is a big but)...
It's EXTREMELY lucrative.
Sure, it sucks sometimes… but it all becomes worth it when you see some HUGE, FAT paychecks hit your Stripe account.
Here's the deal:
I think many creators have been brainwashed.
Brainwashed into thinking…
“I don't need outbound…
I can get inbound leads.” 🤡
They think posting a bunch of tweets and writing some long forms will get them 100s of flaming hot inbounds.
Ooof.
Well maybe if you're Dan Koe.
But us “normal” creators need to put in some fucking EFFORT.
We need to be proactive.
We can't just sit on our hands all day… expecting to—somehow, someway—be blessed by the Gods of online business and their lead-generating minions.
No.
That's not how (online) business works.
If you want JUICY clients…
Those happily willing to pay you upwards of $2,000+... per MONTH…
You need to reach out to them.
“But Tim, how do I reach out to these big Boyz… without appearing like a salesy dickman? And how do I STILL close them?!”
Glad you asked.
It's almost as if I wanted you to ask that question… crazy.
But yeah…
Let's talk about some WARM outreach.
(No cold outreach. I think it's a great tool for a lot of businesses… but as brand owners, we have such a huge advantage that we shouldn't really need it.)

Step #1: Post good content
This entire system is based on the premise that you're posting quality content.
Content that:
Resonates with your target emotionally
Shifts your audience’s beliefs
Is genuinely USEFUL
How do you do this?
That's a topic for another day. (Please remind me… I might forget).
For now: keep the bullets above in mind.
Step #2: Reach out to engagers
There's a neat little function on Twitta.
If you click on one of your posts… you can see who engaged with it.

Take a look at each person's profile.
Do they seem like a good fit?
Yes?
Reach out to them.
You'd be surprised to see how many high-level entrepreneurs engage with your posts.
If… your content is USEFUL.
(I spelled that word twice now in capital letters… maybe that's a sign? wink wink)
Step #3: Opening message
Banging.
You have a lead.
But how do you reach out to them?
It's simple:
Send them a DM.

That's not what you wanted to hear?
But I mean… that’s how it’s done!
Okay, okay...
Here's the EXACT message to send:
“Hey NAME, I saw you engaged with one of my posts. Highly appreciated! How's it going? What projects are you currently working on?”
Very simple. Very human.
Pro tip: Get yourself a CRM to track who you've reached out to. You'll need it. (I made mine in Notion).
Step #4: Conversation
My rule of thumb:
Chat with your lead like you'd text your buddy on WhatsApp.
The last thing you wanna be is a robot-like sales machine.
Be genuine.
This is how you avoid coming across as salesy.
