Yesterday, a fellow writer reached out to me asking for help.
He then proceeded to inquire about my 1:1 mentorship program.
Turns out ⦠this dude was ready to swipe his credit card and hit the ground running then and there.
But what happened next had him gasping for air. š±
Despite his eagerness, I gave him a resoundingā¦
āNOā
Not today suckaaa š
(Jk, forget that last part)
But hereās why:
My program is aimed at writers with at least a few months of experience under their belt.
This guy?
He'd been writing for 1 month and barely had 100 followers.
That's not to shame our fellow writer.
In fact, he seemed like a very upright, honest person.
But my program is simply not designed for newer writers like him.
It would have been a lose-lose.
He would have probably wasted his money.
I would have been stressed out of my mind to somehow deliver results ⦠deep down knowing that it was doomed from the start.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that a lot of people in my position would have taken him on as a client.
I see it too often in the coaching space.
People handing out backdoor slips or āmaking exceptionsā just to extract even more money from their fans.
That's not how I roll.
Before launching this program, I promised myself that I wouldn't make exceptions.
Either you're a fit ⦠or not.
I'd rather miss out on some fickle Stripe notifications to maintain my audienceās trust.
First, because I don't NEED the money.
Second, because I plan to do this shit for years to come. Playing with my audienceās trust would only shorten my potential āearning window.ā
All this is not to say that I'm morally superior or anything.
Seeā¦
Iāve made this mistake in the past. I had to pay the price. And I learned my lesson.
So if you are on the fence about joining my 1:1 mentorship ⦠here are a few cases in which you shouldn't:
Youāve never invested in courses or other programs before ā a full-fledged mentorship should never be your first purchase when diving into a topic.
You don't have enough disposable income ā my program is $150/week. If that's existentially threatening money to you ⦠please don't invest.
Youāre ājust testing the watersā ā if writing is just a hobby for you and not something you want to make a living with long-term ⦠skip this.
You have less than 200 followers ā this is the bare minimum.
You aren't fluent in English ā Look, I'm not native myself. But my English is intelligible. Yours should be too.
All that saidā¦
If the above didn't alienate youā¦
You might just be a good fit for my mentorship.
This is where I work around your needs to scale your copywriting or ghostwriting business to $3,000/mo in the next 90 days ā without working more.
Iāve packaged the exact process I took to achieve this in the simplest way possible.
I literally CANNOT make it easier for you.
Let's find out if you are a fit.
Reply with āYESā and I'll send you the full details for you to make an informed decision.
