My 2025 business plan
$15k/mo with 4 hours of work per day?
Listen, I’m not here to make $100k/mo.
And I’m convinced that most creators aren’t either.
Who cares about becoming the next Dan Koe?
If you’re like me, you’d rather make a comfy $5-15k/mo and spend the rest of your time working on passion projects, traveling the world, or hanging out with loved ones.
That’s why…
This year, for me, is all about winning back my time, while scaling my biz sustainably.
For me, this means:
Lots of writing & artistic expression
Only a small number of DFY clients
A manageable workload of less than 30h/week
My target?
$15k/mo by Dec 2025.
Ambitious? Yes.
Attainable? 100%.
Let’s run the numbers:
Let’s assume I’m still going to be working with 1 (maybe 2) DFY clients by Decemeber (there are some I do enjoy working with). That would be an income of 2-5k monthly.
About 13k left.
Onto consulting:
I plan to offer 2 variations (1-on-1 & group coaching).
1-on-1 would be priced at 250 per week.
The community at 150 per week.
Suppose I had 5 1-on-1 clients (5-7 hours delivery per week) and 15 group coaching clients (4 hours delivery per week) by the end of the year.
That would be an MRR of $13,5k at 9-12 hours of work per week.
Add in the DFY work and it’d be a workload of… say 15 hours.
Lastly, I’m expecting the “lever-moving tasks” like writing emails, content, and building products to add all this up to a total of 25 hours of work per week – about 4 hours per day.
Not shabby for 15 grand, huh?
The thing is…
I’m going to start studying marketing psychology in March of this year.
(Yes, I’ve decided to go to university even though I make a solid income from my biz already. I’ll explain my reasoning another time. Spoiler: I think a lot of us have been brainwashed.)
So I won’t have as much time as I have now.
Ironically though…
I had my highest profit month when I was still regularly attending university end of last year.
(Likely because of Parkinson’s Law which states that work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion.)
It’ll be a challenge nonetheless.
That’s why this year, my goal is to be done with the money-making tasks before 11 AM every day.
This means writing emails & tweets, building courses, and DMing prospects.
So my workday will (most likely) look like this:
Write my daily email (45 min)
Turn the core idea into tweets (15 min)
Build courses, workshops, or new offers (90 min)
DM prospects (15 min)
Client work (60 min)
Client calls (0-120 min)
The rest (like engaging on Twitter) will be done by my VA.
6 core actions. Simple but not easy.
So here’s the deal:
I told you that I’d be charging $250/week for my 1-on-1 coaching.
However…
This January only, I’m opening up 3 spots for $150/week. That’s 60% less than it will be in February (and prices will only increase from there).
The goal of this program is to get you to consistent $3k months as a copywriter or ghostwriter (so you can then start building your own “freedom business” with a steady income to fall back on).
We will do all this without the constant hustling for clients or engaging.
Instead…
We will use the fundamental skills of writing and personal branding to attract the highest-quality prospects to your business.
I’m still in the process of building out this offer, but if you’d like some early bird details, reply to this email with “COACH”.
Here’s to a fantastic 2025.
