Is my 180kg deadlift cursed?!

šŸ’€

So, the other day I posted a video of me deadlifting.

I lifted 180kg for 3 (okay, 2,5) reps.

The post got mediocre attention on Twitter, but it kinda went viral on Threads.

1k views while I’m at 30 followers.

And the folks over on Threads were concerned.

ā€œUmm, your form is f*ckedā€
ā€œPlzzz don’t ego lift on deadlifts šŸ˜ā€
ā€œMind if I share some improvements on your form?ā€

And frankly…

They were…
completely right.
šŸ’€

I re-watched the video and my lumbar spine was curled up like a cephalopod’s tentacles. I didn’t activate my lats enough, dragging the weight too far away from my legs – putting even more load on my lower back. And apparently, using lifting straps is… a bad idea?

Don’t know about the last one, but unfortunately, I have to admit…

This was a big ol’
ego lift.

From now on, I’ll dial back on the weight and focus more on form – don’t wanna end up like Ronnie Coleman when I’m his age.

But there’s actually something we can learn from this:

The reason my form was… shagged, was because I didn’t KNOW any better.

I simply didn’t have the knowledge required to spot the flaws in my form.

It’s the same in your business:

There are countless things you’re unaware of that are slowly eating away at your business.

The worst part?

You have NO way of knowing about them.

Unless…

…

…

…

You continue to educate yourself.

As Socrates once said:

ā€œKnowledge will
make you be freeā€

Let me illustrate the point with an example:

In March of this year, I tried sending daily emails for the first time.

At the time, email and Twitter were my only marketing channels so I really needed this to work (I was working 10+ hours a day while making less than $1k/mo).

There was a problem though…

My open rates were atrocious. (Usually ranging from 20-30%.)

The worst part?

I didn’t know wtf caused this.

I even paid a guy $150 to fix this for me but to no avail.

It wasn’t until I stumbled upon a ā€œsubject line swipe file,ā€ which taught me that my subject lines were the bottleneck all along.

I thought my subject lines were decent…

But in reality (and I can confirm this looking back), they were horrid. Kind of like my deadlift form.

Nowadays however, I’ve solved that problem:

So, here’s the deal:

TOMORROW AT 11 AM CET… I’M LAUNCHING THE SUBJECT LINE TREASURE TROVE.

A compilation of my 45 best-performing subject lines that consistently get me open rates of 50%+.

Including their actual stats and a short explanation of each so you can ā€œemulateā€ my thought process and come up with creative subject lines (that get opened) yourself.

I’ve sorted them into 12 categories you can simply ā€œstealā€ from me to boost your own open rates.

Set a reminder for tomorrow.
