I'm about to take a whizz.

I’m stood in the men's urinal room, about to unzip my pants when…

Clack, clack, clack

CREEEEEEK

The door opens.

“Urgh. Can’t even have a piss in peace?” I mutter to myself before resuming the act.

The footsteps follow me into the urinal room.

And to my utter dismay…

The guy shuffles toward the urinal RIGHT NEXT TO ME … in a row full of empty urinals! 

Any man knows this unwritten, yet sacred LAW that thou shalt never EVER claim a urinal next to another guy (if there are alternatives).

And this guy … he just broke that holy law.

An awkward silence pierces the room, only broken by the sound of urine splashing against the porcelain.

I stoically look ahead.

Pretending to be unfazed.

I “finish my business” … walk off … and wash my hands.

Before I leave the bathroom though … I get a glimpse of the CRIMINAL stood next to me a few seconds ago.

And I'm
PERPLEXED!

It's the 81-year-old BILLIONAIRE I told you about the other day.

Yes, the patriarch of one of the wealthiest families in Germany.

Look … I DON’T CARE that he's a billionaire.

WHERE ARE HIS
FUCKING MANNERS?!

Unacceptable behavior!

…

Okay, okay … I'm obviously joking. 🤣

But let's get serious for a minute.

2 days ago, I sent out an email describing how I had a short conversation with said billionaire.

I got one reply telling me that they were jealous of this conversation.

But honestly? To me, this isn’t all that special.

Not because I talk to billionaires on a regular basis (I wish haha) … but because I’ve long understood that “successful” people aren’t necessarily better off than us. 

‘Cause lemme tell you:

I wouldn’t want to be this billionaire.

He was nice and all…

But he’s fricking 81, spent his entire life working, and couldn’t stop even if he wanted to.

That’s not to say that what he did isn’t admirable. Or that I didn’t learn anything from him. No.

But I bet he’d give all his money away to be 21 again.

We’re all just human beings.

We all got problems.

Putting people on a pedestal is a fool's errand.

I probably learned more from homeless people (by negative example) than from this billionaire.

It doesn’t matter who you have access to.

You can always learn.

But whatever you do … NEVER take the urinal next to another guy if others are open.
