How to save your content from "boring-itis"
One simple tip you can implement today
Whenever I check my X timeline I get very very sad.
It's always the same boring advice.
"Tell stories"
"Be disciplined"
"Benefits > Features"
2 Problems with this:
Firstly, people don't want advice.
They want to see someone who's actually doing the frigging thing and sharing what's worked for them. They want a LEADER.
Second problem:
NOBODY FUCKING CARES!!!
Everyone knows this shit already.
Blending in with the other sextillion people spouting out "work smart, not hard" is NOT smart positioning.
To attract quality followers and clients, you must come up with UNIQUE ideas.
The problem? It's hard.
Your brain is your most calorically demanding organ.
It actually burns 400-500 calories every day (~20% of your total energy requirements).
It will do ANYTHING it can to stop you from thinking & conserve energy.
You might be falling victim to this yourself (I know I often have)…
But don't worry.
Here's a tip I've used to make finding unique ideas a tad bit easier:
Prompts.
See, the reason our brain doesn't like to think is because it doesn't have a clear direction on what to think about.
A prompt gives your thinking direction.
Here are some of my favorite content prompts:
"What common industry wisdom do I strongly disagree with?"
"What's the least boring thing that happened yesterday and how can I extract a relevant lesson?"
"Which of my opinions would likely piss off my mother?"
"What are my core values and how can I educate my audience that they should believe them too?"
“What is a limiting belief that’s holding your market back?”
“What ‘big move’ have you recently taken and what did you learn from it?”
“What trend you’re seeing in your industry do you think is complete and utter bollocks and why?
Just 7 examples.
But take some time to come up with your own prompts and I promise you'll have unique content ideas for the rest of time. (So you can stop blending in with all the headless chicken that are hogging my timeline).

P.S. I’m opening up three 1-on-1 coaching spots on how to take your brand to consistent $3k months as a writer soon.
I’m still fleshing out the details but if you want a spot on my waiting list (and some early bird details), reply with “coach” and I’ll give you access.
